The Tennis Lesson

We are now 5 weeks into the summer break and the kids are officially home for the rest of the summer. This is the first year they won't be going to camp, and I have to say, it's going quite well. We are enjoying our time together and the freedom to do things at our own pace. I wrote several weeks ago about my decision to not make them go to summer camp this year because they really did not want to go back. I mentioned that most moms look at me like I'm crazy to have them home all summer. On the last day of their summer scholars program {the first 4 weeks, 3 hours a day} they asked if they could go to the 'pet store' just to look at the animals. It was a funny thing to do, and they had so much fun. My kids remind me that the most simple things in life can put a smile on our face!!
